Football match end in fiasco

The male football match between Oyo State and Delta was inconclusive as the Delta State team refused to continue after a second goal by Oyo state.

Players from Delta State converged around the centre referee, disputing Oyo’s second goal and refusing to continue the game.

After 20 minutes of stoppage the referee called of the game, awarding it to Oyo state as stipulated by the rules/ In other football matches played on Friday in Abuja, host team, Abuja came from a goal down at half time to pip Enugu 2-1.

Kano State also beat Anambra 1-0.
