Uwua drags Lobi to NFA court

Highly controversial but successful coach, Godwin Uwua is once again in the news. Although this time not against the FA, the current Insurance of Benin chief tactician is looking towards the NFA in securing the release of the –N-2million being owed him by the management of his erstwhile club, Lobi Stars football club of Makurdi.

The former U-23 coach who made a –N-6million move to the Benin Arsenal at the beginning of the league season, is yet to receive the balance of his sign on fees and outstanding salaries amounting to –N-2million from the

Dominic Iorfa led Lobi management board and according to the Coach, he is fast running out of patience. “I don’t know what is happening to my money, I am hearing they are saying they will not pay me any kobo and I don’t know why”, fumed the onetime Enyimba of Aba strategist.

On what will be his next line of action, the highly temperamental coach declared that his mind is already made up on heading to court. “I am ready to take them to the NFA court, I think that will be the best option available to me”, he concluded.

It would be recalled that the Ex-Julius Berger coach propelled Lobi Stars to the Finals of last season’s FA cup where he defeated the Amodu Shuaibu led Sharks of Port Harcourt by 2-0 at the grand finale before dumping the side for Insurance of Benin.

Meanwhile, high flying Insurance of Benin with 7-points from a maximum 9 in their last three matches will be guests of troubled Kwara United desperate for points as under pressure Yugoslav born Kostadin Papic has been mandated by the state Governor to win the week nine encounter in the ongoing Globacom league season or face the music.
