I am still a Partizan Player-Taribo West

Much travelled Nigerian international and Partizan Belgrade defender, Taribo West has debunked media speculations that he has parted ways with his Serbia-Montenegro side.

According to the former AJ Auxerre of France and Kaiserslautern of Germany, he remains a player of Partizan Belgrade but battling fitness instead.

“I am still down with my injury and after this operation in Germany I should be back with the club.I am so surprised where people got such information from”

“I do not have any problem with Partizan, am still with them and everything is going well with me” he explained.

Revealing that his days with the side are numbered, he added another angle to his rumoured move as he dislodged reports that he had agreed to a mutual agreement to discontinue his contract with the club.

“Although the club is well aware that am on my way out but as it is, am still very much their player”

Liverpool romance
The dreadlocked defender confirmed reports that he was in Anfield to try out with Liverpool of England.

“It is true I was in Liverpool but my leg won’t allow me” fulfil the trial and I had to return back home so as to avert further damage on the leg” the former Inter Milan and AC Milan star added.

“I was also in Russia but the leg still won’t allow it yield any fruit”

Taribo had since undergone operation in Germany to correct the injury and hope to get back into action with the club before the end of the season.
