NIGERIA VS CAMEROUN
As Nigeria and Cameroun slug it out in Tunisia for the semi-final berth of the Nokia African cup of Nations the kits manufacturers of the combatants-Adidas (Nigeria) and Puma (Cameroun) are locked in a game of intrigues.
The kits manufacturers’ war started way ahead of the crucial Nations Cup Quarter Final match between their clients regarded as football giants of the African continent.

For Puma their modus operandi in the commercially viable marketing deal with the Camerounians is to offer them a jersey that is worn from the top. This jersey was out rightly rejected by world football governing body-FIFA. FIFA ‘s president Sepp Blatter called the attention of the Indomitable Lions (Cameroun) team to the abnormality.
The Camerounians have changed the jersey and they would be using it in their match against the Nigeria Super Eagles. However, the change of jersey did not go down well with the Lions who are insinuating that Sepp Blatter is taking sides with their kits manufacturers rivals, Adidas.
On its part Adidas have raised the stakes by offering the Eagles a whooping $15000 as incentives to defeat the Lions who are the defending champions of the tournament. Adidas has also promised the Eagles more goodies as they progress in the competition and subsequently lift the trophy.
