The basketball court of Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) is wearing a new look thanks to the effort of First Deepwater discovery Limited ahead the first Intercollegiate competition involving higher Institutions in Ondo and Ekiti States.
According to the supervisor in-charge of the rehabilitation of the court, Coach Andrew Isokpehi that the repair on the court has neared advanced stage.
The head coach of Sunshine Angels basketball club of Akure says he is excited about the progress of work on the facility in FUTA, and that the new look status of the court will enhance the competition.
The former Ebun Comets basketball club coach is optimistic that the Intercollegiate involving higher institutions in Ondo and Ekiti States.
He praised Engr. Babatunde Babalola Managing Director of First Deepwater Discovery Limited for not forgetting his Alma-Mata by sponsoring the intercollegiate championship.
Babalola is positive that the tournament will achieve it desired result of bringing students of higher institution of learning together in the two states that made up the old Ondo State.
The tournament is billed for the open court of FUTA this month.
