It is no longer news that Nigeria is to play Argentina in the Olympic final,what however is news is that the match is to be played at 5 Am Nigerian time early Saturday morning.
The Olympic final heralding the 15 days of great competition at the Olympics, is to be played at noon in China, a time which falls on the early hours of the day in Nigeria.
The match which obviously is the most anticipated for Nigeria due to the lacklustre performance of the other Nigerian athletes at the games, will decide what colour of medal the country is to go home with as either a gold or a silver medal is already a sure bet.
Nigeria emerged as the olympic champions in 1996 and incidentally, the feat was achieved at the expense of Argentina.
The Argentines however defeated Nigeria in the final of the world youth championship in the Netherlands in 2005 and are currently the defending champions.
