Falcons down, out

The Nigeria female national team, Saturday morning became the first team to crash out of the ongoing football event of the Olympics after losing her second match of the series.

The Nigeria side were probably unlucky in defeat as the team totally overwhelmed the world champions, Germany before going down to a 70 th minute strike that decided the game.

Strikers Sarah Micheal, Cynthia Uwak and Perpetual Nkwocha were guilty of lack of marksmanship infront of goal as the trio wasted begging chances in the course of the game.

The Falcons goal tender, Precious Dede was at her usual best making saves after saves to deny the Germans who for the greater part of the game look a pale shadow of themselves.

The Nigeria side now have only the last game of the group stage against Brazil to play for before returning home.
