NFA, NFL endorse Lagos SWAN seminar on League

The Nigeria Football Association (NFA) and the Nigeria Football League (NFL) have endorsed the Lagos SWAN Glo Premier League Seminar Scheduled for July 29, 2008 , at the new SWAN Secretariat, National Stadium, Lagos .

The seminar tagged; Actualising the potentials of Nigeria Football League according to the Chairman, SWAN Seminar Committee, Emma Jemegah, the seminar has received the backing of both the NFA and NFL who are the custodian of the league.

Jemegah, speaking at a parley to herald the one-day seminar, informed that the response from both football organising bodies is encouraging as the association remains committed to the development of the local league.

According to him, top club managers, club owners, referess and sports writers are expected to grace the occasion, where 3 papers will be delivered by some notable speakers.

Leading the pack of speakers is FIFA and CAF instructor, Adegboye Onigbinde, who is expected to deliver paper on the topic; strategy for effective club management, financing and merchandising, while Barrister Dudu Orumeh will deliver paper on Strategy for effective broadcast management of the league and President, National Association of Nigeria Footballer, Harisson Jala will do justice to the topic; Business, investment and marketing communication of the league.

While commending Globacom for partnering with Lagos SWAN in organizing the seminar, SWAN chairman, Niyi Oyeleke applauded the telecom giant for its continuous support to the development of the local league, just as he called on other corporate bodies to partner with Lagos SWAN on the seminar and other numerous programmes of the association targeted at moving sports forward.

Other members of the organizing committee include Emeka Nwani, Fred Edoreh, Monica Ikeakam and Wale Quadri, as secretary.
