Flying Eagles off to Dakar

The Nigeria national U-20 football team, the Flying Eagles left Nigeria at about mid day Thursday to keep a date with Senegal in an AYC 2009 qualifiers.

The match,  a return leg qualifying match for Rwanda 2009 is a to be played on Saturday with the Nigerian team going into the match with a 2-0 1st leg advantage.

The team made up of 18 players and three technical crew members headed by Ladan Bosso, is without injured inspirational midfielder, Rabiu Ibrahim who is suffering from a groin problem.

The coach is however upbeat about their chances. "We are going to Senegal not to defend but to attack all 90 minutes. We are fully prepared for the battle ahead and we hope to make Nigeria proud".

The team is expected back on Sunday.
