Latvia guard Anete Jekabsone-Zogota led other players with 19 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists, Gunta Basko contributed 17 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assist, Ieva Tare recorded 11 points 4 rebound and 4 assists to her credit while the duo of Ieva Kublina and Zane Teilane-Tamane added 10 points each with Teilane-Tamane pulling 8 rebounds.
Only Senegalese forward Aya Traore recorded double points in her side futile effort scoring only 11 points and 2 rebounds.
In other games decided Monday Czech Republic defeated Argentina by 77-55 points to stay one match clear of an Olympic ticket, host Spain was ruthless against Fiji Island with an emphatic 113-42 points spanking while Cuba kept the hope of the Americas alive with 96-79 points win over Chinese Taipei.
Africa second representative in the Women Olympic Games qualifiers, Angola will file out against Argentina in a group-B game today (Tuesday), just as Senegal tries her luck against Japan in her second and last group-A game.
Other matches on the bill Tuesday includes Cuba will attempt to seal her place for the Beijing Olympic proper when it files out against Belarus while Fiji Island tries her luck against Brazil.
