The draws for the Olympic games coming up in August, took place over d weekend in the Chinese capital of Beijing with Nigeria finding herself in tricky zones.
The draws, attended by the coaches of the different national teams saw the dream team drawn in a tight but deceptive group comprising the USA, Japan and the Netherlands.
The Nigeria U-23 side, had beaten the Netherlands at the 2005 edition of the U-20 world cup and the same set of players including the likes of John Collins, Maduro and Ryan Babbel are expected to step out for the dutch side again.
The all conquering Kanu Nwankwo led Atalanta 1996 side also defeated Japan 2-0 at the 1996 Olympics while there are no history of clashes between Nigeria and the Usa at the olympic level.
The Nigeria women team is however not so lucky with the groupings as she is to play against Germany, Korea Democratic and Brazil.
The Falcons will be meeting a Brazil side that defeated Ghana 5-1 here in Beijing on Saturday to emerge as the last qualifiers for the Olympics.
