Falconets Battle Ready - Evumena

Head Coach of the Nigeria U-20 Women team, Falconets, Dan Evumena Thursday assured that the team will come out hot when they tackle Cameroon in a FIFA U-20 Women World Cup qualifying match in Abuja on Sunday.

The Falconets, quarter –finalists at the 2004 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup competition in Thailand four years ago, drew bye to the second round of the African series after Congo Brazzaville withdrew, and will have their outing in the race against the Cameroonians on Sunday.

“We got here without kicking a ball because Congo withdrew, but that does not mean my girls are not battle –ready. We have been training hard and we have a good idea of what we need to do to overcome our opponents.

“ We are not boasting, but we will make Nigeria proud by delivering on the day”.

The Cameroonian delegation members arrived in Abuja on Thursday morning and were quartered at the Agura Hotel.
