Image Technologies to improve sponsorship

CRICKET: Sponsors of the annual Iris Smart Technologies Club Cricket Committee League, Image Technologies have promised to increase the sponsorship package for the coming cricket season which begins in October.

In addition, the company also made another commitment to another three years of sponsorship. Speaking at the weekend in Lagos, Managing director of Image Technologies Limited, Yinka Fisher said he was impressed with the administration of the league by the CCC.

He commended the leadership of the CCC for the judicious use of the funds given them. Fisher who was a one time President of the Nigeria Cricket Federation said after the CCC executive presented an album of last season's activities to him at the Nigeria Cricket Federation secretariat in Lagos.

He said, "the CCC initiative was a good innovation and it shows that the sponsor is appreciated because if an organisation that benefits from sponsorship of it's event documents how things went and present same to the sponsors shows a sense of responsibility. I feel good."

On the demand for an increase of sponsorship fund, Fisher said there was always room for improvement. "We can always from the corporate side take care of the needs of the CCC. Last season we provided two kit bags we will increase it to three this season. We understood now they have three venues and we will provide them with three kit bags," he concluded.

An elated Tunde Akinleye, chairman of the Lagos Club Cricket Committee expressed joy at the response of the sponsor to their demands adding that the season would start much earlier because of the tight schedule ahead. The CCC boss hinted that the CCC will soon meet with the Lagos State Cricket Association and The Nigeria Cricket Association to plan ahead of the coming season.
He said, "we were told Nigeria will host about two international competitions this coming season. We have resolve to start earlier than last season because of the compact schedule."
