In an entertaining encounter in Moscow, European champions AC Milan fought back from two goals down against Lokomotiv Moscow to draw 3-3 and eventually win the game on penalties. With the final of the Russian Railways Tournament being played between Real Madrid and PSV, Milan win third place.
Lokomotiv scored early in the first half thanks to an own goal by Simic (18'), but Kaká made it all square a few minutes later. The home team took the lead again on the half hour mark through Ivanovic, and extended it just before the break with a goal by Odemwingie to make it 3-1.
Only in the last two minutes of the second half did Milan manage to find a way back into the game: Seedorf made 3-2 in the 88th minute, and Brocchi tied the score at the 90th minute.
The game thus went to penalties and it was Milan who triumphed, with Oddo, Jankulovski, Pirlo, Nesta and Brocchi all scoring, and Dida saving the fourth penalty in the series.
