N4million CBN Opens serves off Monday

TENNIS: A total of N4,618,000 (Four million six hundred and eighteen thousand Naira) is up for grabs as the 29th Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Senior Tennis Open Championships serves off next Monday at the National Stadium, Tennis Centre in Lagos.

Mrs Elezerbeth Aju, Assistant Director, Corporate Affairs of CBN stated Friday, in Lagos at press conference to herald this year’s edition that the prize money was reviewed upward to encourage players put in their best.
“A reviewed of the prize money was necessitated by the need to attract foreign players, and make the competition more competitive. “It is our expectation that this year’s tournament will be more exciting considering the calibre of players expected,” said Mrs. Aju.
