Embattled Super Eagles Striker, Obafemi Akinwunmi Martins will arrive the country on 20 March ahead of the Ghana 2008 Nations Cup qualifer against Uganda, nigeriasports reports.
The match billed for the M.K.O. Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta on Saturday 24 March will see Martins dorning the green and white colour of the National team after his failure to honour the invitation for the Eagles international friendly game with Ghana's Black Stars in London last month.
According to his Manager, Errol Olumide Olowu, the Pacy forward will arrive abroad a KLM Airline on Tuesday and moved straight to Abeokuta for the match. "Akin will come in on Tuesday, after playing in the Premiership against Charlton Athletic on Sunday in London," he said.
He stated that Martins who feature for his club, Newcastle United in their 0-2 lost on Thursday to AZ Alkmaar of Holland in the UEFA Cup Match is looking forward to the match against Uganda and that he want to use the match to say sorry to Nigerians for missing the London friendly game
