The ambitions of Nasarawa united as regards playing in the Super play-off Tuesday got threatened by a 0-1 loss to a super charged shooting stars football club of Ibadan.
The Daniel Amokachi led Nasarawa united team slumped to a Ahmed Ismaila 44th minute header off a flick by Kabiru Alausa to delay their Super four qualification till the last day.
Nasarawa must now beat Heartland in Lafia on the last day to seal a qualification alongside Ocean boys already through courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Enyimba in Ogharra.
"It was a good match but I remain upbeat about our qualification for the big one. I am indeed proud as a young coach to be taking a side just two seasons ago were campaigning in division 1 to the elite stage", disclosed Daniel Amokachi, the chief coach of the side.
The first two teams in each of the two groups will square up in a Super 4 contest to determine the winner of the league.
Kwara united and Ocean boys are already through with one match remaining of the abridged league.
