July 20 date for Materazzi/Zidane 'head brawl' cas

French captain, Zinedane Zidane and Italian player Marco Materazzi, are to know their fates come July 20, 2006 over the 'head brawling' rather than footballing at the finals of the 2006 World Cup Finals. Speculations have been on; some having it that the French player, Zidane MUST have been provoked beyond his natural endurance capacity level to have reacted the way he did against the Italian.

Such abusive words which touched on Zidane's mother and sister, are some of the reasons being held in some quarters that prompted Zidane's head but on Materazzi.  But the global governors of the game, fifa, have said that come, July 20 there would be an official statement on the issue.  All these, Metarazzi had denied.

But, according to fifa,"As previously stated the meeting of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee on 20 July 2006 to deal with the case involving Zinedine Zidane (FRA) and Marco Materazzi (ITA) will take place behind closed doors without the presence of any members of the public or media.

After the two parties have been notified of its content, the Disciplinary Committee’s decision will be announced exclusively by means of a media release on the same day.
