Nigerian vows to 'die' for Cote d'Ivoire

While some Nigerians are upset by the poor showings by African nations so far at the World Cup, one person wants to be counted out of the lot, who want to crucify them; especially Cote d'Ivoire.

Joseph Odobeatu, MD, O'Ojez Entertainment Ltd managers and operators of O'jez Restaurant, National Stadium, Surulere-Lagos, would bet on anything that, the West African side, would "even survive the heat ahead in their Group C alongside top sides as Argentina and the Netherlands to move farther nearer the trophy."

"As far as I am concerned, Cote d'Ivoire played very well against such a highly rated side as Argentina.  Their problem lies in the goal and it is not new but if they can find a solution to that, then they would even go beyond the second round.

"I respect them and their guts...they did not let down Africa and again, as far as I am concerned, they are the best side from Africa so far at the World Cup Finals in Germany,"the Engineer re-emphasized.

On the other nations from the African continent, Odobeatu looked back and remarked: "I have not been impressed by their performances so far.  I had thought that, Ghana would do something encouraging but, you saw what they did against Italy.  It was a shameful outing, I must say," the Executive Producer of 'Oruka' a Kora Award-winning Nigerian music by Artiste, Sunny Neji regretted.
