The leading and only sports brokerage outfit, Carrier insurance brokers over the weekend, appointed standard trust Assurance Company and perpetual Assurance company as official insurers to the Nigeria football league NFL.
The contract, which is for three consecutive seasons, involves a group personal accident insurance policy to cover both players and officials of the various league clubs.
During the season, the official insurers have agreed to pay N500,000 as death benefit or injuries leading to permanent disability of any player or official and up to N50,000 as medical expenses for the injury.
“This contract is in furtherance to Carrier insurance brokers firm believe in a befitting welfare package for our sportsmen and women to encourage them towards achieving better results”, Olokpa Dennis, head sports unit, Carrier insurance brokers, disclosed to nigeriasports.com.
It would be recalled that Carrier insurance brokers sponsored the recently concluded SWAN mock world cup, which was won by Croatia.
