One-time Sports Minister and NFA chairman, Air Comdr (retired) Emeka Omeruah, is to head a national reconcilliation committee that, would see to it that, peace reigns in the nation's sports...especially football.
The committee, which is one of the bold steps been initiated in Abuja, nigeriasports.com was informed, is to ensure that, all crisis within the Nigerian sports circle is nipped in the bud and existing ones to be taken care of now.
It is the duty of the committee to also ensure adequate and indepth probing into National Sports Associations with a view to identifying their problems before and or during major international competitions.
According to nigeriasports.com Abuja sources, some other members of the committee include; a once-upon-a-time Secretary-General of the NFA, Alhaji Sani Toro, a former chairman of the football house, Col, Abdulmumini Aminu and a few other sports administrators, who had at a time or the other served as heads.
The initiation of the committee, we were further informed, was informed by the recent problem which almost rocked the game of soccer in the country to the foundation of its administration.
