Javelin women surprise all

There was a shock result in the women javelin final at the games when a virtually unknown athlete from anambra state, Obele Chiubome shocked the more tested Sorochukwu Efuefo of Delta state, carting away the gold with a throw of 45.53m.

Keke Imaculata of Oyo state came second with 44.92m while Sorochukwu Efuefo disappointed even herself, ending up with the bronze after throwing a dismal 44.65m
