Imo Female football protest

Members of the technical bench of Imo state female football team has protested the rulings of the arbitration panel in the Abia state female team on its side fielding more than 3 elite players in their match againt them.

According to the legal adviser to the team, Barrister Okoroafor while commenting on the judgement, he said, the dicision of the panel is totally unacceptable to the team as they had taken cognisance of the rule before the match which made the coach to rest two of their best legs in the team for that encounter. Barr. Okoroafor,further said the Abia side migth have been awarded the match on compasionate grounds having lost their first protest against Delta state which he said has cost state the sum of 20,000 Niara. He confimed that the team has filed an appeal against that ruling. It would be recalled that the arbitrary panel in the on going Gateway Games 2006 yesterday evening awarded the match between Imo and Abia state, which Imo had earlier won 2-0, to the Abia team as 3 goals and 3 point alledging that the Imo team feilded more than 3 elite players.
