There was euphoria on the streets of Ijebu-Ode and Abeokuta on Wednesday as the ten KIA Picanto cars being offered by Globacom in a special draw to commemorate the Gateway Games arrived the two host cities. The cars are part of the reward Globacom Limited is offering loyal subscribers in an unprecedented 180 Cars in 180 days promotional campaign.
In Gateway Games edition of the draw, only participants in the 15th National Sports Festival and residents of Ogun State will be eligible to win any of the ten cars which are now parked inside the MKO Abiola International Stadium and Gateway International Stadium in Abeokuta and Ijebu-Ode, respectively.
To be eligible for the draws which will hold on April 17 in Ijebu Ode and April 18 in Abeokuta, Glo-Mobile subscribers on the pre-paid and post-paid platforms are expected to recharge their accounts to the tune of N1,500 thirty days before the draw date.
“Globacom is using the opportunity of the Gateway Games to reward our loyal subscribers in Ogun State as well as athletes, officials and visitors to the 15th National Sports Festival who are on the Glo-Mobile network or who just joined the network”, explained Globacom’s Executive Director, Mr. Paddy Adenuga. He said the offer is also part of the commitment of the company as Official Telecommunications Partner to create excitement and promote lifetime friendship amongst the participants.

The lucky winners from the draws will be handed their prizes during the closing ceremonies of the Gateway Games on April 20 at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta. The presentation is expected to be made by the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, other state governors, Ministers, Federal and State legislators as well as Traditional Rulers.
