Obia, Williams, Labake set new records

Four records have fallen so far in the swimming event of the 15th National sports festival, nigeriasports.com can report.

Labake Oriretan of Ogun state broke her own National record set in 2003 for the 100m breaststroke.

She swam a time of 1: 18.14secs to break her old mark of 1:19.33secs

Samson Opuoko of Delta State also got a new games record in the 800m freestyle in 9m48secs to destroy the old mark of 10m 07secs set by Otiko Kpilibo of Ondo state in 2002.

Yellow Yetyah of Ogun state set a new festival record 0f 25.30secs in the men 50m butterfly cancelling the old mark of 26.25secs set by Benjamin Oriloye

Obia Inyigiyikabo of Rivers State set a new games record in the 50m butterfly with a time of 31.74 secs to erase the old mark of 32.88 secs set by Elizabeth Akerele of Ondo state.

Eric Willliams of Rivers State set a new national record of 1:08.67secs to erase the old mark of 1:09.03 set by Didba Brathawa of Kano State in 1993
