Show of shame in boxing event

It was a show of shame on Saturday night at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Hall, the venue of the boxing event as there was complete mayhem leading to injuries to participants, officials and spectators.

Our man at the scene reports that the fight between the Ogun state and the Ondo state boxer. The judges gave the fight the Ondo boxer five zero and during the result announcing formalities, the Ogun state boxer, right in from of the sports commissioner, Bukola Olapade, punched the referee as she was about to raise the hands of the Ondo state boxer as winner. The referee, Aisha Adeoye an African female referee from Lagos Retaliated with a punch which sparked violence from the band of fans, area boys and other miscreants there to support the Ogun state boxer. Eventually, knives and broken bottles were used freely causing the boxing event to be abandoned.
