Falconets so ruthless

The Nigeria Under 20 female team on Sunday spanked their Kenyan counterparts 8-0 to enhance their chances of playing at the next Under 20 female World Cup final slated for Russia in August.

The Nigeria ladies according to our correspondent present at the venue gave their opponents no chance as they threw the game to them from the blast of the whistle.

The result now put the junior Falcons in a good position to retain the title they won two years ago. Other qualifiers are Liberia who defeated Algeria 3-2, South Africa who mauled Mozambique 6-0 and Mali who qualified at the expense of DR Congo on penalties.

Nigeria will play either South Africa or Liberia in the next round. Two teams will eventually qualify to represent the continent at the World championship.
