Glo/CAF Awards - CAF Applauds Globacom

Globacom Limited has received commendation from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the successful ceremonies of the Glo-CAF Awards which held on February 16 in Abuja, Nigeria.

Suleimanu Habuba, the CAF Director of Communication said in Lagos shortly before departing for Cairo, that the Confederation was most impressed by the commitment of Globacom to deliver a world class event as manifested in the arrangements made to fly in the nominees and the state-of-art facilities which glamorized the event.

“CAF is highly impressed and wish to commend Globacom Limited for this demonstration of commitment not only to uplift the annual awards ceremony, but also to raise the standard of football in Africa to new heights as it amply demonstrated by facilitating the attendance of nominees to the event.

“Globacom is commended for going the extra-mile of stationing jets in two European cities- Barcelona and London, to fly in the nominees and this no doubt raised the profile of the awards in the eyes of the global football community”, Habuba declared.

CAF also commended Globacom for the facilities deployed at the venue, noting that “the state-of-the-art facilities created the right ambience and transformed the event into a world class show befitting of the continental award.
