Twenty Years With Milan - Berlusconi

Today, February 20, 2006 is a date to remember on the Rossoneri calendar.

Today is, in fact, the twentieth anniversary of the purchase of the club by Silvio Berlusconi.

His purchase marked the beginning of a new era for Milan, one that has seen some of the most beautiful moments in the club’s history. In the last 20 years the Rossoneri have conquered 23 trophies in Italy, Europe and around the world.

They have seen some of the greatest champions in red and black. They have been unforgettable for both the memories and the emotions.

‘We have a very precise objective. We want to construct a team that is good for the long haul. A team that, above all, fights to the top of the national and international fronts with heart and style, giving the fans back what they have received,’ said the president upon taking his position as the pillar of the club twenty years ago.

A promise to not only win, but to conquer title after title with spectacular performance. It’s been twenty beautiful years, but it seems like it all passed by in just a second. Today more than ever, fresh from yet another victory, the Rossoneri want to thank the president.
