Team MAnager of Dolphins football club of Port Harcourt, Diepreye Feberesima says the change in commencement date of the Globacom Premier league from December to January is good for his club.
Diepreye Fiberesima told www.nigeriasports.com that the shift will ensure the new coach of the side, Phillip Boamah has more time to screen new players expected to join up with the Port Harcourt based side.
He said, the Coach took the whole of December to watch the old players once again and at the end of that excercise decided to retain twenty six of them.
"You know it was the Stanley Eguma led Coaching crew that decided to sack players, so Boamah said he will look at the players again, including those previously sacked and at the end he came out with this number to be retained. By the time we resume for the new year, he can start looking at new players to join up with the returning players," Fiberesima said.
On next season, the Team Manager would not stick his neck on the club winning trophies.
"No club goes into the league without ambitions, so i can only just say we have plans for next season, but whether we will win trophies or not is what we cannot say for now. Let the league start then we will talk."
