NNPC continued their domination of the ongoing Oil Industries Games with Lawal Aderemi qualifying for the semifinal stage
.Lawal in a no nonsense fashion dismissed another Lawal Femi of NLNG 6/1 6/0 in a one sided encounter that lasted only for fifty minutes. Also in the semifinal is Enjugu Fred also of NNPC who did not also shed a sweat in the 6/2 6/1 humbling of Daniel Amosuka of NLNG. The other qualifiers are Forcados A and Idehen K both of Petroleum Training Institute who won their matches against respectively against Weweh Marshal and A odiri both of Shell. The NNPC players also dominated the doubles event where the pair of Lawal and Bashir ruled the tide.They will likely meet their colleagues in the same organization, Ejugu and Goerge in the final. The ladies event is likely to be won by Effiong Eji of Shell and Sindiku Iyabo of Halliburton who had showed some promises in the matches played so far. The final of the tennis event according to the organizers is expected to come up at the Chevron Sports Club in Gbagada on Friday.
