Eguma relishes new challenges

Chief Coach of Gabros Football Club of Nnewi, Stanley Eguma says his contract with the Anambra based first division club is not very lucrative but that he accepted it as a challenge.

Stanley Eguma told www.nigeriasports.com that he had a point to prove at Gabros.

“I really do not like the way I was treated at Dolphins after all I did for the club. I won the FA Cup for them in 2001, yet they wanted  to relegate me to an assistant coach in the same club I served as Chief Coach,” an embittered Eguma said.

He said he did not make any promises to the management of Gabros to win trophies in the next soccer season, but is confident he will make an impact in 2004 and get down to the business of winning trophies in 2005.

“Let them just have confidence in me and my abilities. I can assure that Gabros will get a trophy in 2005, but for next year, we just play and consolidate on our 2003 performance.”
