College sets new dates for football kids

Prospective candidates into the Ilorin-based Football College of Excllence, who could not attend screening exercises of the school across the nation last year, now have a reason to smile.

This is sequel to the school management's decision to set aside two days (January 21 and 27, 2006) for such 'unfortunate' candidates to have their turns.

According to the General Manager, Marketing of the college, Mr. Femmy Carrena "we have decided to do this so that, some parents and even the kids, would not think that they have been cheated.  So, we want such parents to bring their wards to the Onikan Stadium, Marina, Lagos on the above dates at 9.00 am for their trials.

"Let me quickly add also, that those who had been screened need not come to our Ilorin offices for admission letters.  This is so because, the college is already collating and at the verge of sending out admission letters to successful candidates.  And details about the commencement of the 2006/2007 academic session would also be made known to them," Carrena explained.
