Kwara,Coach Ikhana dine with long spoons

Skeptical management of Kwara United FC of Ilorin, Kwara State of Nigeria do not seem to be too comfortable with the unity between the team and their head coach, Kadiri Ikhana. This could be traced to the coach's over sung move to South Africa as soon as the 2005 League had the curtains drawn on it.

Another reason was linked to the former Enyimba FC's chief shot caller's head-over-heels love with most of his former players; "be they good or not."nigeriasports.com off-season investigative search into clubs' camps, can report on authority, that following these developments, the management of the Ilorin-based side are now in a dire search for an independent coach, who would assist or rather supervise the screening exercises of the club during the off season; preparatory to the challenges of the 2006 football season.

"We are searching frantically for a capable hand, who would be involved in the screening of players for next season.  He may work directly under or with our present coach, Kadiri but, to a large extent, he would have a word or two to chip in when we gather the new boys for registration next season.

He could be present at our screening ground as an independent assessor and take down notes on his observations and qualification of those, who are finally selected," our source told us in Ilorin.

It would be recalled that, just as Enyimba FC's handler, Okey Emordi, Kadiri Ikhana could also be on his way to the south of the African continent before next year.

The Edo State-born soccer coach, could be wanting to move his side-line ball antics to that region of Africa following his belief that "a prophet is not respected in his home land."  And as such, would want to go down south, where he feels he could be better appreciated.
