Obafemi's Nigeria's most wanted, cherished player

Nigerians have ceaselessly bombarded our website, nigeriasports.com over Inter-Milan and Super Eagles goal-mongering attacking human machine, Obafemi Martins' earlier decision to stop playing for the nation.

This was informed earlier by the age descripancies on the NFA website, which formed a mojor embarrassement to both the player and his Italian clubside.

According to our polls on whether or not, the player's decision to dump the Eagles was proper, we recorded a huge number of responses.  Of these, 30.62 per cent pleaded with Obafemi to "forgive both the NFA and the country, while a meagre 10.47 per cent extended their hands of support.  "Forget Nigeria," they wrote.

However, 5.04 said they were not sure of what to say...whether to vote in his support or not to vote.Quite a higher number of Nigerians, representing 53.88 per cent of the responses we recieved, pleaded with the youthful goal pocher to please, stay and play for mother Nigeria.

Here are the responses of some of those, who participated in nigeriasports.com polls: Paulson from Abia State wrote: "Please, Obafemi should forgive NFA and Nigeria.  We still still need you."

From Ikwuchrist in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State came in this: "Forgive Obafemi for not understanding Nigeria and Nigerians.  However, for the sake of we, sports-loving Nigerians, he should rescind his decision not to play for the nation anymore following the NFA website blunders on his age."

And from London-based Nigerian, Eshi na Ideato, it was "in the name of God, we beg you.  Do not listen to what people say. Continue to play for the nation, please."

These were some of the responses we recieved and they formed our conclusion that, Obafemi Martins could be one of Nigeria's most wanted and cherished rave of the moment in the Super Eagles Nations Cup preparation.
