Rivers Angels pull out of Inneh Memorial

Rivers Angels Sports club of Port Harcourt will not be part of the Pa Inneh Memorial cup in Benin on the 12th and 13th of December because of a very late invitation

The football tournament is in honour of the late founder of Inneh Queens Football Club of Benin who passed on last year.

Delta Queens of Asaba, Bayelsa Queens of Yenagoa, Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt and Inneh Queens of Benin are scheduled to take part in the two-day event, but Rivers Angels Chairman, Prince Larry Eze told www.nigeriasports.com that he was not informed of the memorial cup for his late colleague.

“PA Inneh was a senior colleague of mine and I will be part of any plan to honour him but I believe we should be more organized in this country. We were all together at the Super Six in Umuahia last month and no one told me about any tourney,” Larry Eze said.

He regretted the fact that he had dismissed most of his players because he thought the season was over after the NFA could not reach a conclusion on the challenge cup.
