Interim Chief Coach of Nigeria’s Women National Team, the Super Falcons, Rolandson Odey says he is not to blame for the below par outing of the National team in Saturday’s International friendly match against the Banyana Banyana of South Africa, nigeriasports.com can report.
Odey told nigeriasports.com that the Falcons have gone through a lot of reorganization and it will take him some time to strike a rhythm.
“You can see we were not coordinated. There are so many new players in the team and we could not have hit our rhythm after just one week in camp.”
“Given more time I would be able to wield a stronger team but I will also need more friendly matches to hit the form I want with the team.”
The Captain of the Banyana Banyana, Portia Modise warned the Falcons to watch it because they are getting better each day and would soon catch up with Nigeria.
“You can see we are improving because before now it used to be five zero and four zero losses to Nigeria but now we only lost one nil. With time we will snatch the leadership of Women football in the country from Nigeria.”
