Egypt 2006: Eagles list out on Wednesday

Nigeriasports.com can report that the long awaited Super Eagles team list for next month African Nations cup will be released on Wednesday.

Spokes man of the Nigerian Football Association told nigeriasports.com that Nigerians must be prepared for some shocking exclusions from the list.

“Eguavoen, the coach just returned and flew straight to Abuja to the Glass house to submit his list of players to the appropriate quarters and all I can say is that Nigerians will be in for a shocker because a lot of so called big name players will not be part of the team for camping”

Okosun said the team will still be camped at Faro from the twentieth of December and no longer twenty seventh.

“Before Austin left for Europe he wanted the camp to open on the twenty sevth but on his return he said he wanted it earlier so he picked twentieth.”

“HE will start with the home based players and later the foreign based players will join the team.”

On the fate of the players based in England, the spokesman said the FA will have to hold tight to the FIFA rules that say players must report fourteen days to and international championship.

“We surely cannot take them away in the middle of their season so if we follow the FIFA ruling them we say, they come in some time in January.”
