CAF man wants NFA board out

Member of the Media Committee of the Confederation of African Football, Paul Bassey says there would have been no need to extend the tenure of the outgoing board of the Nigeria Football Association.

Paul Bassey who is also publisher of leading Nigerian daily sports paper, Today Sports insists the reasons cited by the board that they had to organize the Nations Cup in Egypt next year does not hold water.

“I wish they would just stop embarrassing themselves and go away. Do we need them to organize the nations cup?”

“What they should have done long ago is apologise to Nigerians for depriving us of a world cup ticket and go away like a bad dream. By now we would have forgotten about them.”

“Nigerians want a change so they should stop hiding under FIFA to stay longer. The elections should hold so that we can get new people to wipe away the mess the old board put in there.”
