National Amatuer Women league kicks off

The national Amatuer Women League kicked off at the Uyo Center on Monday afternoon with The Adolescent Project, TAP FC thrashing Olga Queens of Bonny 3-0, nigeriasports.com reports.

Amos Ihuoma put the Port Harcourt side ahead in the 20th while Rukayat Bello made it two just eight minutes to the recess.

In the second half, Ijeoma Timothy added the third.

Team Manager of the side, Tony Okeya told nigeriasports.com shortly after the match that his side’s impressive start goes to justify the huge amount of time put in to prepare them for the play-offs.

“We cant say for now if we will qualify or not, even though that is why we came here, but what we want to do it take each game as it comes and as you can see we have made a good start.”

In Tuesday’s matches, Invincible Angels of Benue State take on police machines of Imo State while Dynamics of Lagos slug it out against Niger Delta Babes of Bonny

In other games billed for Tuesday, it will be Jossy Queens of Imo State vs Ankwa Queens of Yola.
