Emmanuel Okolo, coach of victorious Union Bank basketball club of Lagos has revealed the secret behind his team’s success in the just concluded Nigeria Basketball Federation, (NBBF) Basketball Challenge which ended in Abuja last Wednesday.
Basking in the euphoria of being a winning coach, the youthful basketball tactician told www.eurobasket.com that the team's management rose from a crucial meeting after struggling to qualify for the grand finale of the Challenge from the Atlantic conference where they decided that ieach game should be takend as they come.
The former Dolphins basketball club of Lagos head coach, said that the club’s management permutation of icking at least the second spot the event where it failed to win the Challenge was the tonic that propelled the players to the end.
He praised his wards for doing the club proud and stated that, he was overwhelmed by being part of the winning party and winning a major championship as the chief coach of a side like Union Bank.
Coach Okolo described the team game against Kano Pillars, which it won at the buzzer, as the toughest of all the matches the Stallions (Union Bank) played en-route to being crowned as the new Nigerian king.
