Enyimba deny poaching Dolphins Goalkeeper

Chairman Enyimba Football Club, Felix Anyansi Agwu has told nigeriasports.com that there is no truth in rumours making the rounds that they are on the verge of signing first choice goalkeeper of Dolphins FC, Austin Brown.

Reports awash in the Nigerian media last week linked Brown to Enyimba, even speculating that money has changed hands between both partied but Anyansi told nigeriasports.com point blank that he has no interest whatsoever in Brown.

“Who is Brown? Is he a goalkeeper? We do not need him,” was Anyansi’s tongue in cheek reply.

“People should realise that Enyimba currently has three of the best goalkeepers Nigeria can boast of now in Dele Ayenugba, Sam Okoye and John Gaadi so I do not understand what role they think Austin Brown will play in our team?”

“Is he better than any of these three? I do not think so.” Anyansi said.

Agwu added that Austin Brown would be cup tied any way since he had played the Champions League for Dolphins this year and as such would be useless to his club.

Meanwhile, Austin Brown has reportedly left to an unknown club in Hungary for trials.
