Belgian coach, Maurice Cooreman has said that he stomachs no regrets over calling it quits with NPA Seasiders of Lagos. Cooreman, who dumped the Lagos Seasiders in preference to the Insurance of Benin City last week, said his stay with the Lagos Globacom Premier League side, was boring following unpaid sing-on fees nigeriasports.com report.
The former Gabros International and Lobi stars coach said he is looking forward to building a very formidable Bendel Insurance squad ahead of the second round of the Globacom Premier League and the Coca Cola FA Cup. Cooreman said NPA seasiders management shocked him through blantant refusal; to pay him sign on fees and salaries. "Could you believe that I was owed over five months salaries? It was wicked of the management not to pay me my sign on fees" began cooreman. H e continued other officials of the club were paid alongside players but I could not understand why I had to be unecssarily owed. It sounded like a big joke when I was asked to go for a medical test before paid. When I did the mandatory test I was still not paid" Cooreman said, who expressed his gratitude over grabbing the Bendel Insurance job.
"Now I'm not thinking of NPA seasiders....I hope that they would send me what they owe me. For me, I want to focus on the job at hand, I want to make Bendel Insurance one of the strongest clubsides in the Premiership, I 'm happy I began with a 2-0 win over Kwara United at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
The Coach said he is happy that the Insurance banishment to Kuduna is over, "I pray that the fans cooperate with me. I target a good finish in the league and the FA Cup. I'm grateful to Governor Lucky Igbinedion for giving me the opportinuty to serve and I won't fail him, he said assuringly.
