With barely six matches to the end of the first phase of the Globacom Premier League, the technical adviser of Lobi Stars Football club, Coach Tunde Disu says the Markurdi giants will pull a surprise in the league.
He declared this to Nigeriasports.com minutes after his lads recorded a 1-1 away draw against premier league debutants, Nasarawa United FC during their week 13 encounter at the Lafia Township Stadium, Lafia.
According to the former national U-21 coach, all the team needed now is to win their away matches as they had been fantastic at home with few away draws.
"We are overdue for an away win and that is what we are working on. We actually came for a win because we've seen Nasarawa before, we know their strenght and weakness. We want to win an away match",
"At home we've been fantastic but away, we've lost one or two with few draws. We want to play and qualify for continental. Definetely, we want to go for the league shield. We are going to pull a surprise winning some of this top teams away if the officiating is left at 50-50".
Speaking on the chances of the Nigeria's U-21 taem to World Youth Championship in Netherlands, coach Disu said his only fear is Brasil " just the group, if they can survive Brasil. That group is tough. But if they can survive that group, I think they will go far",
"I have already told Siasia that he must have good selection and balance the team with matured players. I am happy with the presence of Taye Taiwo in the team. He should look for more like that".
