Nasarawa is back and better-Chairman

After several weeks of victory drought, with two losses at home, the chairman of Nasarawa United, Mr Chris Iyimoga says the team has found the tonic of winning streak with the victory over Iwuanyanwu Nationale last weekend at the Lafia Stadium.

Speaking to nigeriasports.com recently, the excited chairman believed that the victory is the begining of better things to come to  the club in the season.

"We are clicking, we are working as a team now. The experience of losing and losing has been terrible and we plan with this win to work harder and harder",

"I am extremely excited about this victory against Nationale. You know, we've just come into the league and past five matches have shown inexperience. I think the chaps are beginning t find their footing",

"Sometimes you play well and you don't win and te essence of the game is to win a point. Last time we were in Benin, played s well that we were applauded but we didn't win,".

"So, the essence is not how well you played but how many goals scored and against Nationale, they played well and scored goals. I hope and believe that the victory will take us to a successfull outing in Maiduguri this weekend and beyond".

Apparently encouraged by his club's victory over Iwuanyanwu Nationale last weekend after several weeks of victory drought, Nasarawa United captain, Andrew Esealuka has declared his interest to contest the top-scorer award of the Globacom Premier League this season.

Esealuka who scored one goal against NPA in week two at home, one against Berger in week three away, two goals against Kano Pillars in week four at home before his injury joined the leageu of five goal scorers in the scorers chart with his masterpiece goal that left Enyeama sprawling.

"It has been a difficult time for us. I've been down in the last five weeks and this is my first match. Now that I am back, I hope the story will change for good and I want to retain my rightfull position",

"One of my major target in the premier league is the highest goal scorer award and I am working hard towards it. It is my believe that no one will take it away from me",

"We will not go back to the pro-league. Our only problem is that our attackers due to inexperience are goal shy but that will be tackled soon. I am back for good".
