Chairman of Special Sports Federation of Nigeria, Sunlola Johnson has carpeted the poor preparation and nonchalant attitude of the country ahead of this year’s Paralympics. Nigeriasports.com can report.
The chairman fumed at the fact that other association are being taken care of with the Special Sports athletes all on their own.
“We’ve not make any effort to camp athletes and we are waiting for a miracle at the games.
“It’s good news that other sports are camping in Germany but what happens to special sports” he queried.
Johnson also rued the disturbing fact that Tajudeen Agunbiade will not be defending his table Tennis medals at the games- due to lack of funds.
“The fact that Table Tennis is not going to be represented means our medal chances have drastically reduced.
“It is also sad that a top athlete like Tajudeen Agunbiade will not be available to defend his three gold medals” he concluded.
