ABUJA, Nigeria – Sports Minister, Se’idu Samaila who takes over officially Monday in Abuja has promised to surpass the achievements of the Super Eagles in 1994 in all aspects of our Sports by working with sports veterans to continue to explore Sports as a single unifying factor in Nigeria.

In consonance with their pledge to ensure a totally thorough upliftment and promotion of Judo in the country, the Nigerian Judo Federation have invited 14 judokas to the camp. The invitation of the athletes is also in preparation for the 24th World Judo Championships billed to take place in the Egyptian capital, Cairo in about a month's.

Nigerian Judokas would develop a new sense of belonging and vigour, if the chart being drafted by the Nigerian Judo Federation, is logically mapped out and followed to its anticipated conclusion.This new chart, according to the Secretary of the Federation Mrs Tayo Oreweme, would at its completion, lift the art to a higher plane and rejuvenate its performance in the country.
