The soccer event of the maiden NUJ Media Games continues tomorrow, August 25, 2005 at the main bowl of the National Stadium, Surulere.In the semi-final matches scheduled after today’s quarterfinal games, the Daily Independent Newspapers has been drawn to play against the Champion Newspapers, while the News Agency of Nigeria would play against Lagos Information.

The maiden NUJ Media Games was today formerly flagged off at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. Chief Olabode George, the Deputy National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was the special guest of honour at the occasion. He flagged off events.Chief George was supported by Mr Segun Akinwusi, the Osun State Head of service, who represented His Excellency, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Executive Governor of Osun State.

The executive director of the National Orientation Agency, Otunba Segun Runsewe has commended the Lagos Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists for their initiative and plans towards organising the NUJ-Media Games.
