Confederation Cup

A bizarre night of African football

Enyimba may have become the first team from Nigeria to claim the African Champions League title, but their victory over Ismailia was overshadowed by crowd violence on and off the field. The Nigerians broke a 38-year duck with a 2-1 aggregate win at the end of a tempestuous game that saw two major on-field brawls, rioting in the stands and a 30 minute delay for the post match presentation ceremony.
