After struggling to make it to the grand finale of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF organized Basketball Challenge, which ended last Wednesday in the nation’s capital, Abuja, Stallion boys as Union Bank basketball club of Lagos is known shoved aside tiredness from the rigour of the Atlantic conference to win the first ever Basketball Challenge competition on a clean slate at the Indoor hall of the Abuja national stadium.

Abuja. Wednesday, August 10, 2005: Niger Potters has emerged as the first runner-up in the last day of the National Conference of Vmobile Basketball Challenge. The Minna boys defeated Nigeria Customs by 74 – 71 points in the 14th game of the tournament With this result, Niger Potters now has 9 points from 5 matches, while Nigeria Customs has 6 points. Although Nigeria Customs and Plateau Peaks have 6 points each, the latter is ahead of the former. By implication it means Nigeria Customs comes last in the tournament.
